Overview
We are seeking a skilled Hydrovac Operator to join our excavation team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy equipment and possess a strong understanding of construction site safety and procedures. This role involves operating hydrovac trucks to safely excavate around utilities, foundations, and other underground structures, ensuring precision and safety in all operations. Candidates with knowledge of various construction machinery and a background in heavy equipment operation are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Operate hydrovac trucks efficiently to perform excavation tasks around sensitive underground utilities and structures
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on hydrovac equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment on-site
- Assist with site setup, including positioning equipment and preparing work areas for excavation activities
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and according to specifications
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, equipment usage, and safety checks
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues effectively
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations for operating large trucks and hydrovac units
- Knowledge of horizontal drilling techniques is a plus
- Strong understanding of construction site safety standards and practices
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and supervisors
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and adapt to dynamic project requirements

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
