We are seeking a reliable and experienced Skid Steer Operator / Labourer to join our team. The successful candidate will safely operate skid steer equipment while supporting construction, landscaping, excavation, and site preparation projects. This is a hands-on position that requires both equipment operation and general labour duties. Candidates should be willing to work both in and out of the machine as project needs require.
Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate skid steer equipment.
- Load, move, and distribute materials on job sites.
- Perform grading, excavation, backfilling, and site cleanup.
- Complete daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance checks.
- Perform general labour duties, including shoveling, raking, hand digging, and installing materials.
- Follow all company policies and site safety procedures.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors.
- Assist wherever needed to ensure projects are completed safely and on schedule.
Qualifications
- Previous experience operating skid steers, lawn tractors, or other compact equipment is required.
- Ability to read and follow site plans and work instructions.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, trees, shrubs, and general landscape maintenance is a must.
- Willingness to perform both equipment operation and physically demanding labour.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks (lifting, bending, standing for long periods)
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
- Physically capable of working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
