Afternoon or Night Shift
A. Job Summary Statement:
The Warehouse Supervisor directs and oversees the functions of warehouse personnel and assists in both the administrative and operational responsibilities as and when required. This position also requires the individual to work in a dynamic environment and exercise prompt decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
B. Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including scheduling and supervising the warehouse team.
- Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure timely completion of all warehouse operations.
- Notify the Warehouse Manager and Transportation team of truck delays exceeding the one-hour loading window, no-shows, or other transportation issues.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and oversee inbound/outbound shipments to ensure proper tracking and documentation.
- Conduct regular inspections of warehouse equipment and machinery to ensure maintenance and operational safety.
- Prepare inventory and evaluation reports, ensuring stock accuracy and compliance with quality standards.
- Participate in quality planning and improvement initiatives related to stock organization and warehouse efficiency.
- Provide cross-training and coverage for other warehouse roles as needed (e.g., Shipper, Picker, Receiver, Supervisor).
- Train and onboard new warehouse staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Monitor employee performance and ensure timely and accurate execution of all required functions.
- Maintain employee timecards within UKG and perform bi-weekly payroll approval for your assigned team.
- Participate in developing and maintaining a continuous improvement culture in the warehouse.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management within the scope of the role.
C. Health & Safety
- Understands and works in compliance with the Environmental and Health/Safety management systems, policies, rules, and guidelines including enforcing company safety policies and ensuring compliance with Occupational Health & Safety Act regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by all personnel and visitors.
- Takes every precaution reasonable in the circumstances for the protection of a worker. Specific accountabilities for safety include, but are not limited to performing regular workplace inspections, conducting/participating in safety talks, staff meetings, actively participating in accident/incident investigations, training new employees, identifying and correcting unsafe acts or conditions, identify, correct or commend health & safety performance and conducting performance appraisals for workers’ safety performance.

- Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to solve crisis.
- Strong interpersonal, conciliation skills and the capacity to network with suppliers.
- Knowledge of safety standards (and Industrial Accident Investigation Reporting).
- Must have good organizational skills, be a self-starter and a team player.
- Must be computer literate.
- Fully capable of working in varying temperatures ranging anywhere from 2° to 15°C in most warehouses and from 0° to -10
E. Training Requirements
- Forklift Certification – Counterbalance and High Reach.
- WHMIS
- HACCP
- First Aid & CPR level A with AED
- Emergency Evacuation
- Other Job Specific training as indicated on the Department Training Matrix
F. Education and Training
- Diploma in supply chain management, general administration from a certified college, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in warehousing facility activities at a Supervisory level.
- Certified Forklift Operator - Counterbalance and High Reach.
- Excellent computer skills with knowledge of bar-coding systems.
Pay: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
