Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring the integrity of our financial data.
This role requires proficiency with accounting software and a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles to support the company's financial health and compliance. Accounts Receivable and Billing
· Data input of sales, cash receipts and disbursements
· Long-term contract billing and job report reconciliation
· Collect, organize and maintain information from long-term contract work
· Holdback billing for contract work
· Cash receipt input and credit card processing for customer bills
· Produce and review monthly customer statements and report to management
Accounts Payable and Job Costing
· Entering bills and creating cheques and/or EFT payments for approval by management
· Matching packing slips to bills and entering and tracking costs to individual jobs
· General ledger reconciliations including bank accounts, credit cards and clearing accounts
Payroll
· Full payroll cycle duties including collecting and entering time tickets, creating payroll cheques and/or set up EFT auto deposit payments for approval)
· ROE's
· T4's and T4 summary each year
· Collect, remit and manage union dues for union employees
General Administration and Bookkeeping
· General office admin tasks and supportive duties
· Reconcile accounts, credit cards, bank accounts, monthly customer/vendor statements
· Post & maintain journal entries
· Month End and Year End Reports
· Source Deductions, EHT, HST, WSIB, Union Due Remittances
Education
· Bookkeeping Diploma or Degree Preffered
· Experience in payroll required
Experience:
· Bookkeeping: 5 – 10 years required
· Expected Start Date: April/2026
· Salary: $26.00 + per hour (depends on personal attributes)
Schedule:
· 24-40 hours per week (depending position and personal attributes)
· Opportunity for more hours – dictated by workload/projects\
· Day shift 7am - 430pm
Pay: $26.00-$31.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36.0 – 40.0 per week
