Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic, dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring all linens, towels, and guest laundry are cleaned, folded, and maintained to the highest standards. Previous hotel experience and familiarity with laundry procedures are preferred. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where attention to cleanliness and guest satisfaction are paramount. WHMIS training is preferred. Hiring for 2 to 3 shifts per week at this time. Other duties such as guest room cleaning, making beds, sanitizing, vacuuming, deep cleaning may also be required. The successful candidate must be flexible and able to work well in a team environment. Full command (reading, writing, speaking) of the English language is required.
Responsibilities
- Operate laundry machines such as washers and dryers efficiently and safely
- Sort, load, and unload laundry items according to established procedures
- Ensure all linens, towels, and guest clothing are cleaned promptly and accurately
- Fold, organize, and store clean laundry in designated areas
- Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area, including equipment and workspaces
- Assist with inventory management of laundry supplies and chemicals
- Follow safety protocols related to handling cleaning chemicals and machinery
- Collaborate with housekeeping staff to meet daily laundry needs
Requirements
- Previous hotel or hospitality experience is required
- Basic knowledge of laundry processes and cleaning procedures
- Ability to operate laundry equipment safely and effectively
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads as needed
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $15.00-$16.50 per hour
