Job Summary
We are looking for experienced Class 1 Highway Drivers based in Manitoba or Alberta to join our growing team. This position involves long-haul highway transportation using flat deck and RGN trailers across Canada, with potential Canada–U.S. runs.
The ideal candidate will have experience hauling flat deck, oversized, heavy equipment, or specialized freight. Drivers must be safety-focused, dependable, professional, and comfortable securing different types of loads.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a tractor-trailer on long-haul highway routes
- Transport freight using flat deck and RGN trailers
- Secure loads using chains, binders, straps, tarps, and other securement equipment
- Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections
- Complete electronic logs, inspection reports, bills of lading, and other required documents
- Follow provincial, federal, and U.S. transportation regulations
- Monitor axle weights, load placement, height, width, and overall dimensions
- Communicate professionally with dispatchers, customers, and site personnel
- Report delays, defects, incidents, and safety concerns promptly
- Maintain the truck and trailer in clean and safe operating condition
Requirements
- Valid Manitoba or Alberta Class 1 driver’s licence
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of commercial driving experience preferred
- Flat deck or RGN experience is strongly preferred
- Experience with chains, binders, straps, tarping, and load securement
- Clean or acceptable commercial driver’s abstract
- Ability to travel for extended highway trips
- Ability to cross the Canada–U.S. border is considered an asset
- Good understanding of hours-of-service and ELD requirements
- Strong communication and time-management skills
- Physically capable of handling securement equipment and tarps
- Reliable, professional, and safety-focused
