Estimating & Design Coordinator

Hours: Fulltime, 40 hours per week
PlayQuest Recreation is a leader in commercial playground, spray park, shelters, skateparks, and park amenity sales in western Canada, with our head office in Edmonton. We are growing and are seeking a team member experienced in estimating, layout drawings, proposals and construction processes. This position can be based out of our Edmonton office, or remotely elsewhere in western Canada.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the creation & management of drawings, renderings and documentation, in collaboration with our suppliers, to create playground, spray park, shelter, amenity, and skatepark designs
- Provide technical information to sales staff and other external clients (landscape architects and engineers) via telephone, email, and Teams.
- Complete proposals using Adobe Suite and Proposify, including estimating/quotes in Quickbooks for the sales team.
- Review project bid and tender documentation, specifications and drawings as required
- Source and collaborate with suppliers and develop relationships with sub-contractors or material suppliers.
- Diligently maintain and update CRM as projects progress.
- Occasional marketing tasks
Qualifications:
- Technical academic background. Post-secondary degree or diploma in a mechanical, civil, architecture or landscape architecture program
- 2 to 3 years construction experience (in the landscape/irrigation/automation industries are an asset) *in the last 5-8 years*
- Customer Service experience is an asset
- Experience with CRM and ERP systems is an asset
- Previous sales experience is an asset
Skills:
- Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, Excel, Adobe Platforms (Photoshop, Illustrator, In-Design) Bonus -Sketchup, or 3DS Max *in the last 3-5 years*
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- **Extreme proficiency in managing multiple technical tasks and projects, meeting fast and tight deadlines.
- Self driven with the ability to create new process to streamline work management.
- Willing to learn new programs
- Mechanically Inclined
