B-Sharp Excavating Inc. is looking for a skilled and reliable Excavator Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate has experience with residential and commercial excavation, is confident working around utilities, and can operate efficiently in tight spaces while maintaining accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Operate excavators safely and efficiently on job sites
- Perform trenching, digging, grading, and backfilling
- Work around existing utilities with care and precision
- Read and follow grade stakes and site plans
- Load trucks and handle materials as required
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
- Work alongside crew members to complete projects on time
- Follow all company safety procedures and site protocols
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years experience operating an excavator
- Valid driver’s license (required)
- Class 3 driver’s license (asset)
- Ability to read grade stakes and work to elevations (required)
- Must be capable of digging to grade without constant supervision
- Comfortable operating in confined spaces and around structures/utilities
- Experience with final grade prep and finishing work (preferred)
- Experience in residential and commercial excavation
- Experience in demolition is considered an asset
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to work long hours and occasional weekends during peak season
