Novus Rehab is looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our London and area team of community-based treatment providers, supporting clients with a variety of injuries, disabilities, and life challenges through longer-term rehabilitation services.
Why Novus?
Novus is an OT-owned company where your efforts are appreciated, your ideas welcomed and supported, and your input valued. We don’t want you to feel over-worked or underappreciated. We believe that liking your job, and your work family, is a pretty important part of your life.
While we primarily work from home offices, we have built a collaborative and supportive culture with ongoing access to mentorship, consultation, and team connection. We intentionally prioritize quality client care over high-volume service delivery, allowing our clinicians to focus on meaningful outcomes.
How We Help the People we Serve
We primarily see clients in their homes or the community, and use our home offices for the paperwork tasks. Our clients are all ages and have a wide variety of injuries that might include orthopaedic trauma, concussion and brain injuries, amputation, spinal cord injury, chronic pain or psychological impairment, among others.
Many of our referrals come through auto insurance, long-term disability, and Veterans' programs. Because of this, we often develop long-term therapeutic relationships with our clients and have the opportunity to support them through meaningful functional goals, helping them build the skills, confidence, and independence needed for daily life.
Who You Are (or Who We Want)
This is an autonomous and self-directed position. You will be comfortable managing your caseload, prioritizing client needs, and creating a schedule that works for both your clients and yourself.
You are highly organized, client-centered and creative in your approach. You enjoy problem-solving and developing practical rehab plans that help clients achieve greater independence and participation in their everyday lives.
You have a degree in Occupational Therapy and are registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario. Experience with complex rehabilitation and varied caseloads is an asset, but not a requirement—we provide strong mentorship and support for clinicians looking to expand their skills.
You have strong documentation and communication skills, including the ability to write thorough assessment and treatment reports that ‘paint the picture’ of your client's strengths, challenges, and functional abilities.
What Your Week Would Look Like
You would work from a home office, creating a schedule that allows flexibility and balance with your personal life while managing client needs.
Some days you'll be on the road meeting clients in their homes, communities, schools, or workplaces—wherever their goals take them. Travel time is paid and is typically within an hour of your home office.
Other days you'll be working from the comfort of your home office completing virtual sessions, treatment plans, reports and phone calls. Whether that means a quiet morning with your favourite coffee or structuring your day around family commitments, you'll have the flexibility to make your schedule work for you.
