We are dedicated to delivering superior patient care in a warm and welcoming environment while leveraging technology in an innovative way to improve patient care and access.
Our belief is that great patient care starts with caring clinicians, so we look for individuals who enjoy interacting with people from all walks of life. If you are interested in joining our incredible team, we’d love to hear from you!
About you:
You are an International Medical Graduate (IMG), who has ideally completed a residency with 2 years of clinical experience in family medicine or emergency medicine.
We firmly believe technology and online tools (such as online appointment scheduling and patient messaging) can enhance patient care and streamline the operation of our clinic. Past or current experience with EMR systems will be an asset; our team currently uses a highly customized version of OSCAR. Good proficiency with computers and technology is a must and excellent problem-solving and organizational skills will be highly valued.
You will be responsible for a variety of clinical and administrative tasks that may differ from day-to-day (details below). As such, quick learners and flexible personalities will thrive in our environment! In particular, this role will provide direct support to a Magenta Health physician and their practice.
General Responsibilities:

- Assist in performing triage, taking patient histories, conducting physical examinations, and formulating a plan.
- Coordinate referrals to specialists and follow up on patient care plans.
- Accompany healthcare providers during patient visits and document patient encounters in real-time.
- Document patient encounters, medical histories, and treatment plans accurately in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Prepare and update patient charts, ensuring they are current and complete.
- Assist with order entry, including prescriptions, referrals, and diagnostic tests as directed by the provider.
- Minor medical procedures such as wound care, suture removal, and specimen collection.
- Perform Pap examination under supervision, specimen collection and documentation
- Other duties as required, based on the needs of the clinic
Details:
Shifts will be Monday - Friday, with the occasional “after hours” evening or weekend shift. This in-person position will be located at one of Magenta Health’s three GTA-based clinic locations (within the Riverside, Midtown, and Beaches communities).
Starting from $50,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. Medical and dental benefits start after the 3-month probationary period.
Eligible employees may participate in the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP) in accordance with the eligibility requirements and rules of the Plan.
