About the Position:
SafeTracks GPS Canada Inc.is a growing Canadian technology company developing innovative IoT, personal safety, emergency response, and connected software solutions.
As we continue to grow, we are looking for a motivated and experienced Technology & Operations Manager to help strengthen our technology, operations, and business processes.
This is more than a traditional IT position. We are looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, improving systems, supporting customers, coordinating software development, managing vendors, and helping a growing company take the next step.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Manage day-to-day technology and IT operations.
· SafeTracks has a software development & cloud infrastructure teams in place. Your duty will be to coordinate software development and source code management.
· Support and maintain cloud infrastructure, databases, and system security.
· Troubleshoot software, GPS devices, SIM/APN connectivity, and related technologies.
· Coordinate third-party technology vendors and partners.
· Improve customer service processes, inventory management, and internal workflows.
· Assist with marketing technology, reporting, automation, and AI initiatives.
· Recommend technology and operational improvements that support company growth.
Preferred Technical Qualifications:
While not mandatory, preference will be given to candidates who possess one or more of the following qualifications.
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Business Technology, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
· Experience developing and supporting applications using Next.js, React.js, .NET, Microsoft SQL Server, RESTful APIs, and Git.
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure or Oracle Cloud, Linux environments, CI/CD pipelines, and enterprise networking.
· Understanding of IoT technologies and communication protocols, including MQTT, HTTP/HTTPS, TCP/IP, and connected devices.
· Experience with or knowledge of VoLTE, cellular SIM technologies, APN configuration, and mobile network connectivity would be considered a strong asset.
