Help Shape the Future of Affordable Homeownership in the Okanagan
Habitat for Humanity Okanagan is entering an exciting period of growth and community engagement. In addition to supporting future affordable homeownership developments across the region, the Resource Development Committee will help guide and strengthen a diverse fundraising portfolio that includes signature fundraising events in both Kelowna and Vernon, community-based fundraising initiatives, charitable gaming opportunities such as 50/50 raffles, corporate partnerships, grants, major gifts, and donor stewardship programs.
As the organization continues to grow, we are exploring opportunities to introduce an additional signature fundraising event while expanding community outreach and engagement efforts throughout the Okanagan. Committee members will have the opportunity to provide strategic input, foster new relationships, and help identify innovative ways to increase awareness, support, and long-term sustainability for Habitat Okanagan.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic guidance and recommendations related to fundraising and resource development
- Support the achievement of annual fundraising and capital campaign goals
- Assist in identifying prospective donors, sponsors, and community partners
- Serve as an ambassador for Habitat for Humanity Okanagan within the community
- Support donor stewardship and relationship-building activities
- Attend committee meetings and participate in fundraising discussions and initiatives
- Provide insight, expertise, and connections that strengthen the organization's impact
- Champion Habitat Okanagan's mission and vision through personal and professional networks
- Approximately 4–6 hours per month
