Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate ECE/RECE Childcare Educator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children in early childhood settings. Responsibilities
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning and development
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and exploration
- Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to families and team members
- Maintain accurate records of children's activities, health, and developmental milestones
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum plans and adapt teaching strategies for diverse learners
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to ensure a supportive educational experience
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by implementing individualized plans and accommodations
- Ensure health and safety standards are consistently met within the classroom setting
- Use computer skills to document observations, prepare reports, and manage administrative tasks efficiently
- Demonstrate leadership qualities by guiding new staff or interns as needed
- Manage time effectively to balance classroom responsibilities with administrative duties
Experience
- Prior classroom experience in early childhood education or related settings is preferred
- Knowledge of special education practices and working with children with disabilities is advantageous
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is highly desirable to support diverse communities
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for engaging with children, families, and team members
- Familiarity with computer operation for documentation, lesson planning, and communication purposes
- Demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities effectively
- Experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds enhances the ability to create an inclusive learning environment
