We are looking for a competent, skilled, and well rounded Journeyman Foreman that has a strong commitment to safety. Individuals that thrive in team environments and want to help build and grow a successful company.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead crews in the safe and efficient execution of overhead powerline construction and maintenance work
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company safety policies, OH&S legislation, and utility standards
- Conduct daily tailboards, hazard assessments, and crew safety meetings
- Supervise, mentor, and support crew members while maintaining productivity and quality standards
- Ensure workers are properly trained, qualified, and using required PPE and protective grounding procedures
- Monitor jobsite conditions and take corrective action to address safety or operational concerns
- Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and jobsite logistics to keep projects on schedule
- Report incidents, near misses, hazards, and injuries promptly and participate in investigations when required
- Maintain accurate field documentation and communicate effectively with supervisors, clients, and crews
- Promote a strong safety culture and maintain a clean, organized, and professional worksite
- Ensure safe operation of company vehicles, tools, and equipment
- Refuse and stop unsafe work when required
QUALIFICATIONS
- Journeyman Certificate as a Power Line Technician
- Live line trained up to 25Kv
- Qualified to complete UG terminations up to 750mcm
- Valid Class 3 or Class 1 drivers license
- Knowledge in reading and understand Prints, SLD's, Locates, Permits & Approvals
- Certified to operate a Digger Derricks and Bucket Truck
- Willing to work in extreme weather conditions and/or on weekends and holidays
- Strong English language skills both verbal and written
- Understanding of applicable codes and regulations
