We are currently seeking people passionate about banging tin !
We are hiring One Journeyperson or equivalent knowledge Sheetmetal Technician, and looking to add one to two L3/L4 or equivalent knowledge apprentices.
Technical Skills and other Requirements include:
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, equipment, codes and best practices.
- Ability to work alongside a Journeyperson, assisting with: measuring, planning, ordering, fabrication and/or installation of sheet metal, architectural finishing metal and other systems
- Ability to assist Journeyperson with mounting, hanging and installing equipment such as: HVAC rooftop units, fans, furnaces, air conditioners, dust collectors, HRVs and other air handling and ventilation based equipment
- Possess a Class 5F driver’s license
- Previous experience working with metal (manufacturing, agriculture, welding or ironwork) is a strong asset
- If interested in working rotations out of town, please add that to a cover letter
- Willing and able to enter an apprenticeship agreement
- Willing and able to maintain a means of transportation, and an active drivers license
- Willing to complete a criminal record check on demand
- Enjoys building things
- Reliable, organized and obsessed with safety
- Ability to work at heights and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Legally eligible to work in Manitoba/Canada
NRG offers Full time, permanent positions (40 hours a week), a competitive starting wage along with extended health and other benefits, pension match of 4% (for senior apprentices and RSEs).
