The Role: Account Executive / BDR
This is a hunter role. You will proactively build and own your pipeline in Canada and the US from first touch to closed deal — prospecting, qualifying, presenting, and closing. You’ll be backed by 10 years of brand credibility, an established partner network, and a leadership team that is invested in your success.
What You’ll Be Doing
● Drive outbound prospecting across target markets through calls, email, LinkedIn, and strategic networking initiatives to achieve prescribed lead generation and sales targets
● Pro-actively develop meaningful relationships with our ISV Partners by identifying key stakeholders within the ISV sales hierarchy and building strategic relationships conducive to generating qualified sales leads.
● Ensure a high level of account management and timely follow-up with urgency, with the objective of increasing monthly lead referrals from ISV sales representatives and achieving prescribed lead generation and sales targets.
● Run engaging, effective product demos that converts prospects into customers.
● Lead client quoting activities by conducting product and pricing research, developing tailored product proposals and client solutions in collaboration with suppliers and internal product teams.
● Leverage our established North American partner relationships to open doors and accelerate deal cycles
● Own the full sales cycle: cold and warm outreach through discovery, solution presentation, negotiation, and close
● Identify and qualify new business opportunities across key verticals and bring tailored hardware solutions to decision-makers
● Build and grow lasting client relationships — your clients should think of you first when a need arises
● Maintain existing relationships via (Slack, LinkedIn etc.) and identify upsell opportunities
● Take full accountability for consistently achieving and exceeding prescribed monthly and quarterly revenue, lead generation, and sales performance targets through proactive business development, disciplined pipeline management, and ongoing client engagement. Maintain accurate pipeline data in CRM (HubSpot) — you run your business by your numbers
● Collaborate with management to refine go-to-market strategies and share market intelligence from the field
● Report weekly on pipeline progress and performance
● Represent Venture Sourcing Group with professionalism and confidence at every client interaction

Who You Are
● 3–5+ years of B2B sales experience, ideally in tech hardware, IT solutions, or related fields
● Take full ownership of client engagement, with a strong emphasis on actively hunting for new sales opportunities, leveraging exceptional communication skills to engage prospects persuasively, and confidently driving conversations through to successful close.
● A track record of hitting or exceeding quota — you can speak to your numbers confidently
● A natural prospector who is comfortable with outbound cold outreach and knows how to earn a conversation
● Competitive, resilient, and self-motivated — rejection sharpens you; it doesn’t stop you
● Strong communicator across all channels: phone, email, video, and in-person
● Organized and process-oriented with experience using CRM platforms
● A relationship builder who plays the long game while also closing in the short term
● This is an in-person role based in Mississauga, Ontario

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent. This is an in-office position.
Compensation: The base salary range from $70,000 - $90,000, complemented by a strong performance-based bonus structure with clearly defined and achievable performance targets; designed to reward growth and results, with total OTE of $120,000 - $125,000 year 1 and projected OTE, year 2, $135,000 - $155,000, uncapped commission potential.
In addition, the package includes:
