Prep Cook/Line Cook – Culinary Team
Camelot Golf & Country Club is a private member-owned club located in Cumberland, 20 minutes east of downtown Ottawa. Recognized as one of Canada’s Top 100 Golf Courses, Camelot is committed to excellence in hospitality and culinary execution.
We are currently seeking motivated Line Cooks who are looking to be part of a professional culinary team focused on standards, teamwork and continuous improvement.
This opportunity is ideal for individuals who want to work in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen environment and further develop their skill set under the leadership of an Executive Chef. We are looking for cooks who take pride in consistency, professionalism and performance during peak service periods.
Our culinary operations support a variety of service styles including à la carte dining, buffet service, banquets, golf tournaments, private events and member programming throughout the season. Flexibility and adaptability across multiple service formats are essential.
Must have reliable transportation, as public transportation does not service our location.
Peak Season Requirement
Candidates must be available to work consistently during our peak operating season from May 1 through October 31, including evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
What We Are Looking For
- Professional kitchen experience considered an asset
- Culinary school students with a strong interest in pursuing a culinary career
- Ability to perform efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Strong work ethic and positive, team-oriented attitude
- Ability to handle pressure during peak service times
- Willingness to learn and continuously improve your culinary skill set
- Clear communication skills; bilingualism considered an asset
- Respect for kitchen structure, cleanliness and food safety standards
Key Responsibilities
- Execute menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Prepare for and support various service styles including buffet, banquet and tournament production
- Maintain organized, clean and efficient workstations
- Monitor food rotation and adhere to food safety regulations
- Communicate effectively with culinary leadership and fellow team members
- Contribute to a professional, respectful and collaborative kitchen culture
