We are actively recruiting for 3 Personal Support Workers to support a young woman with special needs in her beautiful home in Powell River, BC.
These are 24-hour shifts and will be split between 3 caregivers.
She enjoys swimming, socializing, going for coffee and to events. She also enjoys watching TV and movies, exercise, cooking and baking.
The ideal candidates will be able to follow direction, be easy going, and able to work with various family members as well as be social, upbeat, and friendly. You must also be active and physically fit as the individual enjoys being active.
Start date: April 1, 2026
Compensation: To be discussed.
Shifts:
- Monday to Sunday
- 9:00am - 9:00am
- 24-hour shifts
- Shifts will be split between 3 candidates
Duties may include but not limited to:
- Assistance with getting in and out of the bathtub and all aspects of daily living
- Assistance with ROM, walking exercises, stretching, transfers with a transfer belt
- Assistance with walking to and from the bathroom
- Assistance pushing a wheelchair in the community
- Support in the community and companionship
Requirements:
- Must be able to physically perform all job duties (Transfers, lowering the individual to the floor for ROM, transfer belt, and walking them to and from the bathroom, etc.)
- Class 5 Driver's License.
- Must be able to take the individual swimming.
- Must be able to push a wheelchair in the community
- Must be able to follow directions
- Must be easy going, friendly, and upbeat
- Must be able to work with various family members
- Must be active and physically fit
Pay: $20.78-$27.48 per hour
