We are looking for an organized, relationship‑focused Executive Director to manage daily operations, programs, finances, and community partnerships. This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys variety and making a real difference in children’s lives.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Provide overall leadership for Care & Share programs and daily operations.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with school boards, schools, mentors, donors, and community partners.
· Work closely with the Board of Directors: schedule meetings, prepare agendas and minutes and keep the Board informed about programs, partnerships, and fundraising.
· Represent Care & Share in the community, including media and public events.
· Manage day‑to‑day finances and bookkeeping.
- Prepare budgets, payroll, and required reports.
- Collaborate with the accountant on financial statements and year‑end reporting.
- Issue tax receipts and complete required government filings.
- Keep organized records and program files.
· Respond to day‑to‑day needs as they arise.
Skills and Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in related field or education and experience will be considered.
· Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills including grant writing and fundraising proposals, public speaking.
· Financial and budge management ability including experience with bookkeeping/accounting (QuickBooks is an asset).
· Effective communication and relationship‑building skills.
· Ability to manage multiple programs independently.
· Coordinate working relationships with schools, donors, partners, and volunteers.
· Experience updating websites and using social media to share programs, events, and impact, as well as ability to work with external designers or communications support as needed.
· Demonstrated ability to work within an approved budget and track expenses.
· Experience working with vulnerable communities, schools, or families.
