We are currently seeking composed, dependable individuals to join our team as on-call Transfer Attendants in Salmon Arm, BC.
About the Role
Removal Attendants respond to transfer requests from healthcare facilities, private residences, and investigative authorities, ensuring the respectful handling and transportation of decedents.
This role requires professionalism, emotional steadiness, and the ability to meet physical demands. You may be interacting with families during difficult moments, making compassion and composure essential.

Key Responsibilities
- Respond to transfer calls, often on short notice
- Safely and respectfully transport decedents using company vehicles
- Navigate stairs, tight spaces, and varied environments
- Complete documentation accurately and professionally
- Maintain strict confidentiality
- Interact respectfully with families, healthcare staff, and authorities
- Travel throughout assigned service areas in varying conditions
Requirements
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence (no restrictions)
- Reliable transportation to a designated fleet vehicle location
- Ability to move 150+ lbs independently and assist with heavier transfers as part of a team
- Clear criminal record check (company paid)
- Professional demeanor and comfort working in end-of-life settings
- Strong communication skills and reliability
On-Call Structure
This is a structured on-call role offering flexible scheduling. Team members submit their availability in advance and are contacted for calls within those committed time periods.
While this role offers flexibility, it also requires a high level of reliability and responsiveness. Calls often come with little notice, and timely response is essential to meeting the needs of the families and professionals we serve.
Call volume varies week to week. Greater availability generally results in more opportunities. To remain active, team members must attend at least one call every 30 days.

Important Note

Pay Structure
- Weekly pay
- Position starts at $20CAD/hour and can increase to $25CAD/hour post 3 month probation period
