Job Summary
Bank of China (Canada) is seeking a highly organized and analytical professional to join us. This role supports credit governance, credit approval administration, risk committee coordination, credit system management, industry and macroeconomic research, and ESG/climate risk initiatives across the Bank.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior management, risk professionals, business units, and Head Office to support credit governance processes, regulatory projects, operational efficiency, and enterprise-wide risk initiatives.
What You Will Do
- Coordinate Credit Committee meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, meeting minutes, approval tracking, and governance documentation.
- Monitor credit approval workflows, annual reviews, approval turnaround times, and key risk governance metrics.
- Administer the Bank's Corporate Credit Management System (CCMS), including user access, workflow configuration, approval routing, and system maintenance.
- Prepare management reports, dashboards, workload analysis, and performance metrics to support operational efficiency and decision-making.
- Conduct industry, macroeconomic, and credit risk research, including analysis of market trends, interest rates, commodity markets, and emerging risks.
- Support the implementation of ESG, climate risk, and sustainable finance initiatives, including regulatory reporting and governance projects.
- Assist with OSFI Guideline B-15 implementation, climate-related disclosures, and cross-functional regulatory initiatives.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, Head Office, and external advisors to support risk management projects and policy implementation.
- Draft and maintain policies, procedures, governance documents, committee materials, and management presentations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance governance processes, reporting, and operational controls.
What You Bring to the Table
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, Accounting, Business Administration, Environmental Finance, Sustainability, or a related discipline.
- 2+ years of experience in banking, corporate credit, credit risk, risk management, financial research, ESG, climate risk, or a related financial services environment.
- Understanding of credit approval processes, credit risk governance, internal controls, and banking regulatory requirements.
- Experience supporting credit committees, governance activities, regulatory reporting, or enterprise risk initiatives is an asset.
- Knowledge of ESG, climate risk, sustainable finance, OSFI B-15, or related regulatory frameworks is highly desirable.
- Experience using credit management systems, workflow platforms, or banking systems is preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; VBA knowledge is considered an asset.
- Strong analytical, research, project coordination, and report-writing skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Mandarin is strongly preferred to support communication and coordination with Head Office and cross-border stakeholders.

Pay: From $46.10 per hour
