About the Role
We are looking for a reliable, hard-working, and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team at a busy convenience store offering fuel, grocery items, and liquor/beer. This role involves a mix of receiving orders including liquor/beer, cashier/customer service duties, and maintaining a clean and well-stocked store. Being a team player is a must, as your efforts directly affect your co-workers.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide friendly and efficient customer service
- Operate cash register, debit/credit, and lottery terminals
- Process fuel transactions and monitor pumps
- Be comfortable IDing to sell age-restricted products (alcohol, tobacco, lottery) in compliance with PEI regulations.
- Receive deliveries including liquor
- Restock shelves, coolers, and merchandise displays
- Maintain cleanliness of the store, coffee station, and slush machines
- Complete daily and weekly cleaning tasks
- Handle customer questions and resolve minor issues
- Follow all health, safety and security procedures
Requirements
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Reliable and able to work independently
- Comfortable handling cash and working in a fast-paced environment
- Able to take direction and maintain store standards
- Must be able to stand for extended periods
- Must be able to lift up to 35lbs
- Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred
- Must be 19+
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
