Hiring immediately for 2–3 full-time production roles. Hot, physical, fast-paced powder coating shop. Reliable, hard-working people only. Paid trial available for the right candidates.
We are a family-owned powder coating company in Mississauga and we are looking for reliable, hard-working people who want to become part of a long-term team. Ownership is on the floor every day. We are not looking for people who want a short-term stop, a few weeks of work, or a job they can drift through. We are looking for people who show up, move with purpose, take pride in the work, and want to get better.
Open roles may include:
- Powder coating primer painter / trainee painter
- Conveyor line setter
- Steel material handling / onloading and offloading
- Prep work, plugging, capping, racking, sorting, and QC
- Packing support when needed
Most new hires will likely start on the line so we can see pace, attitude, reliability, hand-eye coordination, and how well they fit with the team. From there, we will train the right person into the position that makes the most sense.
About the work:
This is hot, dusty, dirty, physical manufacturing work. The line moves fast and the day does not slow down because someone is behind. You will be standing, walking, lifting, bending, sorting, hanging, removing, checking, plugging, capping, cleaning, packing, and helping wherever the line needs support.
If you like clean, slow, quiet work, this is not the job.
If you like being busy, learning a trade, working with your hands, and being part of a shop that rewards effort, this could be a very good fit.
What we are looking for:
- Strong work ethic
- Reliable attendance
- Steady work history
- Ability to take direction and remember it
- Good hand-eye coordination
- Good pace and awareness
- Physically fit and able to handle steel parts up to 60 lb
- Able to stand and move for a full shift
- Able to work independently without being managed every 5 minutes
- Able to work with others without drama
- Comfortable with direct feedback in a fast-paced shop
- Attention to detail
- Pride in doing the job properly
Experience is an asset, but not required for the right person. We can train people who have the right attitude, attendance, effort, and common sense.
Experience that helps:
- Manufacturing
- Powder coating
- Conveyor lines
- Steel handling
- Shipping/receiving
- Forklift
- General labour
- Packing different shapes/sizes of material
- Painting or coating environments
- Hot or physical shop work

Initial placement is temporary-to-permanent through our staffing agency for approximately the first 3 months, with the goal of moving successful candidates onto Briken payroll.
Strong performers will be reviewed quickly. If we see effort, reliability, pace, and value within the first week or two, pay can move up quickly. We are willing to pay good people properly, but we do not put out higher wages for someone who has only shown up for 1–2 days.
Paid working trial:
For the right candidate, we are open to a paid 1–3 day working trial to make sure the fit is right before either side commits further.
If you are currently employed and would need a short trial before giving notice, say that in your message. We can be flexible for the right person.
