We are currently looking for a motivated Apprentice Technician to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity for someone who is mechanically inclined and interested in building a long-term career in the trade.
Responsibilities
- Assist with installation and repair of residential and commercial overhead doors and operators
- Support senior technicians with maintenance, troubleshooting, and service calls
- Learn repairs involving springs, cables, tracks, rollers, and motors
- Maintain safe, clean, and organized work areas
- Follow company safety procedures and work professionally with customers
- Perform physical work including lifting 50+ lbs, climbing ladders, kneeling, and working at heights
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Reliable, hardworking, and team-oriented
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Physically fit and capable of manual labor
Requirements
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Basic computer/mobile device skills
- Experience in construction or mechanical trades is an asset, but not required
- Fall Arrest, Scissor Lift, and WHMIS certifications are an asset (training available for the right candidate)
