Summary Description:
The Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for managing incoming payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely collection of outstanding customer balances. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal departments.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
- Process and maintain accounts receivable transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Record and track all incoming payments and customer receipts.
- Prepare and distribute monthly customer invoices and statements.
- Contact customers regarding outstanding balances and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to payments and receipts.
- Prepare and process daily bank deposits.
- Collaborate with accounting and sales teams to ensure financial accuracy.
- Generate reports and provide information to various departments as required.
- Monitor customer accounts and proactively address payment irregularities.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Job Requirements:
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 1–2 years of accounts receivable, accounting, or bookkeeping experience preferred.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Experience with QuickBooks is considered an asset.
- Experience with Powerlink software is considered an asset.
Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
