Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in preparing high-quality meals, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. This position requires both creativity and efficiency in meal preparation while working collaboratively with other kitchen staff.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and guidelines.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of the kitchen before and after service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including all cooking stations.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to minimize waste and ensure quality control.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and safety practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role within the food industry.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with various cooking equipment and tools used in the kitchen.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
