Open to candidates across British Columbia! We are seeking an experienced Civil Marine Estimator to join our team in Duncan, BC. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on contractor-side experience who can independently develop estimates and contribute practical construction insight on marine infrastructure projects.
This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in-office. Relocation support is available for the right candidate.
Competitive Compensation: Base salary of $95,000 – $140,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
- Intermediate (3–7 years): $95k – $120k
- Senior (8+ years): $120k – $135k+
Easy Move: Relocation allowance provided for the successful candidate.

Compensation
- $95,000 to $140,000+ per year, depending on experience and qualifications
What You’ll Do
- Prepare independent cost estimates and tender submissions for marine and heavy civil projects (typically up to $3M)
- Perform quantity takeoffs, pricing, and scope development based on drawings and specifications
- Develop construction methodologies and execution strategies that reflect real-world site conditions
- Identify, assess, and cost project risks and scope gaps
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing
- Contribute to pricing strategy, bid competitiveness, and profit optimization
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure constructability and delivery alignment
What You Bring
- 3+ years of contractor-side estimating experience in marine or heavy civil construction
- Proven ability to prepare estimates independently (not limited to supporting roles)
- Strong understanding of marine construction methods and sequencing
- Experience working on projects up to ~$3 million in value
- Practical knowledge of labor, equipment, production rates, and site constraints
- Proficiency with estimating tools and Microsoft Office
Strongly Preferred
- Hands-on field experience as a Foreperson, Superintendent, or similar site-based role
- Experience contributing to method statements, construction planning, and execution strategies
