As a Medical Assistant, you will work closely with our team of board-certified physicians to provide high-quality clinical and administrative support while ensuring an exceptional patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate closely with multiple board-certified physicians to support daily clinical operations.

Administer allergy injections, vitamin B12 injections, routine vaccinations, and other physician-directed immunizations.

Administer infant and childhood immunizations under the supervision of a physician.

Perform clinical and nursing procedures as delegated by the physician and within your scope of practice.

Assist physicians during patient examinations and medical procedures.

Escort patients to examination rooms, obtain medical histories, record vital signs (including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, height, and weight), and accurately document findings in the electronic medical record (EMR).

Prepare and update patient electronic charts prior to physician assessments.

Communicate relevant patient information to physicians before appointments.

Perform clinical procedures, including phlebotomy (blood draws), wart treatments, and other office-based procedures as required.

Answer telephone calls, relay messages, and respond professionally to inquiries from patients, physicians, pharmacies, and other healthcare providers.

Identify patients requiring urgent medical attention and appropriately prioritize their care.

Monitor and maintain medical supply and vaccine inventories.

Contact patients regarding laboratory results as directed by the physician, assist with follow-up scheduling, and coordinate appropriate care plans based on physician instructions.
Qualifications & Knowledge:

Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare practices.

Experience working in a clinical or family medicine setting is preferred.

Strong understanding of electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.

Proficiency in grammar, spelling, and professional documentation.

Excellent organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced medical environment.

Ability to maintain efficient patient flow and support clinic operations.

Competency in phlebotomy and administering injections.

Experience with OSCAR EMR is considered a strong asset.
Education:

Medical background (Registered Nurse, International Medical Graduate, Physician, or other relevant healthcare professional).
