TYCROP Trailers Inc. is looking for a Lead Hand to join our growing team in Chilliwack BC.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Assist with the management of production line operations, ensuring production targets, quality and safety standards are met
- Maintain workflow by monitoring steps of the process; set processing variables; observe control points and equipment; monitor personnel and resources
- Mediate operational problems to minimize delays and costs, close the loop through root cause analysis
- Analyze and report on production metrics, including on time delivery, labour cost, etc.
- Assist with the development, implementation and maintenance of standard works (SOPs), work instructions & quality documentation
- Assist with the coaching, counselling, and discipline of employees; initiate, coordinate, and enforce systems, policies, and procedures
- Promote company values and ensure compliance with policies and procedures
- Attend safety and operational meetings as required
- Assist/conduct hiring, coaching for successes and/or cessation of employees
- Document actions by completing HR, safety, quality and production forms
- Practice Safe work procedures at all times – lead by example
- Demonstrate teamwork and commitment to ongoing training for success in position
- Perform other tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in reading blueprints
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Utilizes effective time management skills to coordinate the production line
- Displays exceptional people skills and a can-do attitude; maintains cooperative working relationships
- Excellent problem solving, job task planning and organizational skills; good judgement and decision masking
