Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical principles, blueprint reading, and various welding techniques to produce high-quality products for construction, ductwork, and other manufacturing applications.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine specifications and fabrication requirements
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on various metal materials to meet project standards
- Operate plasma cutters, press brake machines, power tools, hand tools, and machining equipment to shape and assemble components
- Rig and secure materials using cranes or forklifts for fabrication or assembly processes
- Use calipers and other measuring tools to ensure precise dimensions and tolerances
- Execute cutting, bending, and assembly of ductwork, structural components, or custom fabrications
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and proper equipment handling
- Assist in troubleshooting fabrication issues and recommend improvements for efficiency and quality
Experience
- Proven experience in welding (MIG, TIG) within a manufacturing or construction environment
- Mechanical knowledge related to assembly, rigging, machining, and blueprint reading
- Familiarity with schematics, ductwork fabrication, plasma cutting, press brake operation, and the use of hand and power tools
- Ability to read technical drawings accurately and perform basic math calculations for measurements
- Experience operating forklifts or cranes is a plus but not mandatory
- Knowledge of welding codes, schematics, schematics interpretation, and general manufacturing processes is preferred
