Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tire Technician to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, mechanical knowledge, and excellent customer service skills. This role involves performing tire replacements, repairs, and maintenance while ensuring safety and quality standards are met. Prior dealership or mechanic experience is highly preferred, and the candidate should be comfortable working with hand tools and power tools. The Tire Technician plays a vital role in maintaining vehicle safety and performance, contributing to customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Responsibilities
- Remove and replace tires using appropriate hand tools and power tools
- Inspect tires for damage, wear, and proper tread depth
- Perform wheel balancing and alignment adjustments as needed
- Conduct tire repairs including patching and plugging punctures
- Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks related to tire care and general automotive repairs
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining services performed and recommending additional maintenance or products
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Keep accurate records of services performed for each vehicle
Skills
- Dealership or automotive mechanic experience preferred
- Mechanical knowledge related to tires, wheels, and vehicle systems
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and automotive maintenance equipment
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds) frequently throughout the workday
- Knowledge of automotive repair procedures and safety standards
- Sales skills to recommend additional services or products when appropriate
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
