Summary: On an entry-level basis and under direct supervision incumbent willrepair/rebuild and maintain commercial floor cleaning machines, commercial pressure washers, and material handling equipment by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Reads job order and observes and listens to Senior Mechanics and training staff to determine malfunction and to plan work procedures.
Where instructed by Sr. personnel Installs or repairs equipment that might include material handling equipment, commercial floor scrubbers/cleaners both brand and non-brand machines
Assists in the refurbishing of floor care machines, material handling equipment, and commercial pressure washing equipment.
Examines protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on equipment, and makes adjustments.
Lubricates moving parts and tests repaired equipment to verify conformance to specifications.

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
