The Role
We’re seeking a local, final-year student with a passion for software development to join our QA team as a Software QA Test Engineer (Co-op). You’ll help us achieve full CI/CD test and deployment automation for our carrier-grade video transcoder product, used in data centers by cable and video providers.
This is a hands-on opportunity to work with embedded firmware, front-end UI applications, and cutting-edge testing methodologies including black-box, white-box, and chaos engineering. You’ll gain experience with tools like Jenkins, Python, and Selenium, and collaborate closely with experienced developers and QA professionals.

Key Responsibilities
- Test Automation & Infrastructure: Build and maintain automation tools and scripts for deployment and testing.
- Test Planning & Strategy: Define and maintain test plans and strategies based on project goals.
- Code Quality Assurance: Write clean, reliable, and maintainable code that supports testing efforts.
- Organization & Planning: Manage tasks, timelines, and resources effectively.
- Monitoring & Reporting: Track product quality metrics and report defects with clarity.
- Collaboration & Innovation: Partner with developers and QA leads to enhance product robustness.
Qualifications
- Final-year undergraduate student in Computer Science or Engineering, ideally with an interest in pursuing a career in software development eventually
- Strong experience with Python, Java, Bash scripting
- Familiarity with C/C++, Selenium, and real-time embedded systems is a plus
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins) is an asset
- Must reside in the Greater Vancouver area and be able to commute to Pitt Meadows (vehicle required). Full-time in-office may be required during onboarding.
