What is the role?
The position of roller operator requires an individual who is flexible, positive, and self-motivated. They will be reporting to the onsite foreperson and ensures the proper equipment inspections are being completed and any deficiencies are reported. They can work across Saskatchewan for 12+ hours in a 10 and 4 shift. Preferable to have a background in paving, and roller operation. Duties and responsibilities are:
- Report to the site Paving or Base Foreperson
- Perform daily safety inspections on equipment
- Perform daily maintenance on equipment
- Operate all equipment in a safe manner as per OHS legislation
- Participating in training as requested by the company
- Strict adherence to the company safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Company Safety Manual
- Participate in the company safety program
- Assist crew with other duties as necessary including hand work (shoveling, raking), traffic control, cleaning, and various tasks as necessary
- Maintain a clean and tidy work environment
- Must be willing to travel
- Must be willing to work overtime and weekends
