Tooling Designer
3 to 5 years of Design experience in the Tool & Die Industry.
Experience with Catia, NX, or Solid works an asset.
Entry level applicants will also be considered based on shop floor experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in the engineering & designing of Transfer, Progressive, Hot stamp and Blanking tools.
Interact with customers to ensure effective product design and implementation.
Interact with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of purchased items
Maintain continuous process improvement with safe work practices to reduce cost, improve quality and increase throughput for new and existing processes.
Provide shop floor support.
General understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
Comprehensive knowledge and experience in tool & die design and fabrication, to include drilling, machining, welding, and assembly.
Knowledge of CNC Machining and metal cutting methodology would be an asset.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent team player with demonstrated problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to effectively communicate, present information and respond to questions from managers, clients and customers.
Shop floor experience an asset
