Warehouse Team Lead – Morning Shifts | Growth Opportunity Ottawa
Location: Ottawa, ON
Pay Rate: Starting on $17.60 per hour (negotiable based on experience)
Employment Type: Temporary full time with potential for contract employment
Schedule: Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays as required. Morning shifts starting between 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM till 4:00 pm. Flexibility with end times based on production demands. Initially a minimum of 4 to 5 days per week.
Position Overview
We're a fast-paced production facility in Ottawa looking for a reliable, motivated Team Lead to join our morning crew. This role starts as full-time temporary with a real path to permanent, full-time employment based on your performance.
The successful candidate will primarily work as a Bouquet Maker while also supporting daily team operations, helping maintain productivity and quality standards, and providing guidance to team members when needed. Key ResponsibilitiesFloral Production
- Select, prepare, and arrange flowers according to customer and company specifications.
- Trim stems, remove leaves and thorns, and properly condition flowers to ensure freshness and quality.
- Assemble bouquets efficiently while maintaining high quality standards.
- Inspect finished products to ensure presentation and quality expectations are met.
- Report product shortages, damaged materials, quality concerns, and inventory discrepancies.
- Assist with production line activities and general warehouse duties as required.
Leadership Support
- Support supervisors with daily workflow coordination and team organization.
- Lead by example through attendance, productivity, professionalism, and quality of work.
- Provide guidance and support to team members during daily operations.
- Help maintain a positive, respectful, and productive work environment.
- Assist with workforce management tasks using technology platforms such as Homebase.
- Communicate operational concerns, production challenges, and improvement opportunities to management.
QualificationsEducation
- High School Diploma preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 1 years of experience in production, manufacturing, warehouse, or similar environments.
- Previous leadership, Lead Hand, supervisory, coaching, or team coordination experience strongly preferred.
- Floral industry experience is considered an asset but is not required.

Compensation & Benefits
- $17.60 per hour + 4% of vacation paid weekly on Friday .
- Overtime paid after 44 hours worked per week ($26.40/hour).
