Duties
- Greet customers and provide helpful, friendly assistance
- Operate the POS system accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash, card transactions, and ID checks responsibly
- Answer customer questions about products, pricing, and store policies
- Receive, unpack, and stock inventory on shelves and in coolers
- Rotate stock to ensure proper product freshness and organization
- Maintain clean aisles, displays, and storage areas
- Assist with inventory counts and restocking as needed
- Uphold all legal requirements related to alcohol sales
- Help maintain a safe, orderly environment for customers and staff
- Support daily opening or closing procedures depending on shift
Skills
- Previous retail or cashier experience is an asset but not required
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Must be 18+ and legally able to sell alcohol in Alberta
- ProServe certification (or willingness to obtain it)
