Maintenance Technician / Certified Millwright (439A)

Priority will be given to candidates holding a valid 439A Millwright certification with hands-on experience maintaining industrial equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial machinery to minimize downtime
- Perform preventative maintenance per the PM program and report abnormalities or failures
- Accurately record work orders, labor hours, and parts usage in the CMMS system
- Create work orders and assist in planning maintenance jobs and projects
- Order parts as required and monitor inventory levels
- Perform technical work including electrical troubleshooting, power transmission, hydraulics, pneumatics, vacuum systems, plumbing, welding, and fabrication
- Communicate effectively with Maintenance team members, Production Supervisors, and Management
- Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety regulations, Joint Health & Safety Programs, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Maintain clear and accurate documentation
- Participate in performance review processes
- Follow and help enforce company safety policies and procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid 439A Millwright certification (Ontario Red Seal equivalent preferred)
- Minimum 3+ years of experience as a certified Millwright in manufacturing (rubber processing or heavy industry an asset)
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and technical skills in millwright-specific disciplines
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-motivated team player who can also work independently
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow
