Job Description:
We’re looking for an experienced Carpenter to join our team, with strong opportunities for skill development and career growth in a supportive environment. This position will be based in Winnipeg
What You'll Do:
- Oversee and participate in the construction, remodeling, and repair of residential and commercial structures.
- Must be willing and able to teach others, sharing skills and knowledge to develop team capabilities.
- Interpret and build according to detailed and dynamic blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Supervise and guide apprentices or entry-level carpenters; provide training and mentorship as needed.
- Take instruction from supervisors and collaborate closely with other trades and team members.
- Ensure all work complies with local building codes, safety standards, and project requirements.
- Maintain a clean and safe worksite and care for tools and materials.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in carpentry or related construction fields.
- Red Seal Certified
- Proven ability to read and execute complex blueprints and technical documents.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and instruct others effectively.
- Willingness to perform tasks at all levels, including entry-level labour as needed.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy loads of up to 100 pounds etc.)
- Familiarity with power tools and machinery.
- Operations of JCB telehandlers and skid steers is an asset, but not necessary. Additional training and certification will be provided by Three Way Builders.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
