Overview
Hotshot Coffee Sleeves is a growing packaging manufacturer based in Burnaby, BC. We produce custom printed beverage packaging including paper cups, coffee sleeves, and plastic cups for customers across Canada and the United States.
We are expanding production and installing new high-speed printing equipment including:
- 6 Color Flexographic Printing Press
- Dry Offset Cup Printing Machine
We are seeking an experienced Flexographic Press Operator / Flexo Press Operator to help run and maintain our new equipment.
Candidates with experience in flexographic printing, narrow web printing, label printing, packaging printing, film printing, or web press operation are encouraged to apply.
Experience operating presses such as Mark Andy, Nilpeter, Comco, Omet, Gallus, or similar flexographic equipment is considered a strong asset.
Training can be provided on dry offset cup printing equipment for the right candidate.
Duties
- Operate and set up flexographic printing press
- Monitor print quality, registration systems, colour consistency, and production speeds
- Prepare inks, plates, cylinders, anilox rollers, and substrates
- Work with UV inks and water-based ink systems
- Troubleshoot mechanical and print quality issues
- Perform press adjustments, maintenance, and production changeovers
- Assist with operation of dry offset cup printing equipment (training can be provided)
- Maintain production records and quality standards
Requirements
- Experience operating flexographic, narrow web, label, or packaging printing presses
- Experience with servo-driven presses and automatic registration systems is an asset
- Packaging or beverage cup printing experience is an asset but not required
- Mechanical knowledge related to machinery maintenance and troubleshooting
- Warehouse experience or familiarity with manufacturing environments is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards
- Good communication skills and ability to follow detailed instructions
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds as needed
- Must live in the surrounding area (lower mainland). Overseas applications not accepted
Salary is based on experience.
