Job Description – Customer Service Specialist

Department Manager
Position Summary
Devon Transport Ltd. operates a central customer service line that takes calls for all locations in BC. The staff at this location are responsible for helping customers with many different needs from making reservations, answering general questions, handling customer service disruptions, quoting rates, making storage reservations and show customers why Budget is the best choice for their rental needs all while upholding Devon Transport Ltd.’s high standards of service. This is a fixed-term contract with an option to extend for the right candidate.
Position Responsibilities
- Answering customer inquiries
- Quoting Rates effectively
- Making reservations accurately
- Communicating with location staff and internal staff through email and internal messaging systems.
- Solving customer complaints following the Customer Service Department’s Procedures
- Following the Customer Service Department’s recommended dialogue.
- Communicating policies and procedures effectively to customers.
- Completing administrative tasks as directed by management.
Position Requirements:
- Customer Service focused.
- Shift flexibility as needed to meet business demands.
- Punctual and accountable for shifts
- Willingness to learn.
Qualifications and Experience
- General communication with team members.
- Customer service experience considered an asset
- Tourism experience considered an asset
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Excellent listening and communication skills.
- Flexibility and ability to adapt to changes.
- Work alone and in a team environment.
Working Conditions
- Schedule that includes weekends and holidays.
- Ongoing training and feedback
