Job Overview
Ontario Caulking is seeking a reliable and experienced Caulking Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will travel to residential, commercial, and multi-unit job sites throughout the GTA and Simcoe County.
The role involves removing old or damaged sealant, preparing surfaces, and applying new caulking to a variety of building surfaces and areas. Applicants must be dependable, safety-conscious, and able to complete clean, professional work independently or as part of a team.
Duties and Responsibilities
Remove old, damaged, or deteriorated caulking
Clean and prepare surfaces before applying new sealant
Install caulking around windows, doors, control joints, vents, pipes, penetrations, and other building areas
Apply caulking on residential, commercial, and multi-unit buildings
Install backer rod and primer when required
Use ladders, swing stages, zoom booms, and other job-site equipment safely
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Dispose of removed materials and job-site debris properly
Travel to job sites throughout the GTA and Simcoe County
Complete work according to company quality and safety standards
Requirements
Minimum 1 year of caulking experience
Valid driver’s licence
Reliable personal vehicle
Willingness to travel throughout the GTA and Simcoe County
Own basic caulking tools, including a caulking gun, ladder, and removal tools
Reliable, punctual, and professional
Comfortable working outdoors and at heights
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to perform physically demanding work
Required Certifications and Documents
Valid Suspended Work Platform/Swing Stage Training Certificate
Valid Zoom Boom/Telehandler Operator Certificate
Valid WHMIS certification
Valid driver’s licence
Proof of eligibility to work in Canada
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
