Position: Breakfast Cook
JOB OVERVIEW: The Breakfast cook is responsible for executing flawless breakfast service by working effectively and effeciently and making guest satisfaction a priority. This role must be an effective communicator with front of house staff as well as kitchen management to ensure that breakfast food ordering is done accurately. This role is for breakfast service as well as lunch.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
- Ensure that food is stored properly and meets safety and sanitation standards
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow proper food handling procedures and adhere to food safety guidelines
- Prepare food according to BEO for event center as needed
- Other duties as required
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Previous experience working as a breakfast Cook in a restaurant or food service establishment
- Culinary management diploma or cooking certificate is an asset
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment operation
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Ability to work mornings and lunch time service, including on weekends and holidays as needed
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have valid Food Handles Certificate
- Graduated from or currently enrolled in a Culinary Program
- Senior positions require Red Seal Certification
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $19.89 per hour
