Job Description
Kenron Pharmacy Group is seeking one to two experienced Pharmacy Manager / Licensees to support our growing pharmacy operations in Calgary.
This is a hands-on pharmacy leadership role for someone who enjoys community pharmacy, values high clinical standards, and is motivated by the opportunity to lead teams, strengthen operations, and deliver exceptional patient care.
Each successful candidate will serve as the Pharmacy Manager / Licensee for an assigned Kenron location, with responsibility for day-to-day pharmacy operations, team leadership, patient care, regulatory compliance, workflow, and clinical service delivery.
Depending on experience, location assignment, and business needs, one successful candidate may also act as a senior liaison between ownership and Kenron's pharmacy locations. This responsibility is intended to support communication, consistency, and alignment across the business. It is part of the Pharmacy Manager / Licensee role and is not a separate Regional Pharmacy Manager position.

Locations
The successful candidate will be assigned to one of Kenron's Calgary pharmacy locations based on operational need, candidate experience, and overall fit.
Kenron Compounding Pharmacy - Foothills

Primary compounding location. Compounding experience required.
Good Habits Co.
56 Uxborough Place NW, Calgary, AB T2N 2V2
Newer, lower-volume location with growth anticipated. Compounding not required.
Location preference will be considered as part of the screening process, but final location assignment will be based on operational need, candidate experience, and overall fit.
Schedule
- Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
- Occasional Saturday coverage as required, 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
- No evenings
- Closed Sundays
- No statutory holidays
What You'll Do
As Pharmacy Manager / Licensee, you will:
- Serve as Pharmacy Manager / Licensee for your assigned location
- Manage day-to-day pharmacy operations, including dispensing, clinical service delivery, compliance, workflow, and team leadership
- Lead, coach, and support pharmacy technicians, pharmacy assistants, and other team members
- Build a high-performing, patient-centered culture where expectations are clear and team members feel supported
- Ensure pharmacy operations are safe, compliant, and aligned with ACP standards
- Maintain strong documentation, quality assurance practices, and operational follow-through
- Identify workflow gaps, develop and maintain SOPs, improve documentation practices, and strengthen systems and processes
- Deliver thoughtful, professional, patient-centered care
- Work closely with ownership to support service development, operational improvement, and business growth
- Support cross-location communication and consistency, if assigned as the senior liaison
For candidates assigned to the Foothills location, the role will also include involvement in Kenron's compounding and specialized pharmacy work, including customized formulations, therapeutic alternatives, dosing guidance, and prescriber support.
Compounding is not required for the Good Habits Co. location.
What We're Looking For
The successful candidate must have:
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy from an accredited program
- Active practicing license with the Alberta College of Pharmacists in good standing, or eligible and actively in the process of obtaining ACP licensure prior to start date
- Minimum 5 years of pharmacist experience, ideally in a community or retail pharmacy setting
- Minimum 5 years of pharmacy management or team leadership experience
- Additional Prescribing Authority, active or willing to obtain within 6 months of start date
- Active injection certification
- Retail or community pharmacy experience
- Genuine enjoyment working in a community or retail pharmacy environment
- Demonstrated ability to support pharmacy operations through workflow improvement, SOPs, documentation practices, process improvement, or team structure
- Calgary-based or actively relocating to Calgary
- Availability for an in-person, full-time role with occasional Saturday coverage
- Strong leadership, communication, organization, and follow-through
Strong Assets
- Compounding experience, including sterile, non-sterile, topical, or veterinary formulations Note: Compounding experience is required for the Foothills location and is considered an asset for Good Habits Co.
- Experience supporting prescribers with dosing guidance, commercial product selection, and therapeutic alternatives
- Familiarity with pharmacy software such as Kroll, PharmaClik, or similar
- Experience working through business growth, operational change, or multi-location coordination
- Ability to balance hands-on pharmacy work with leadership and operational responsibility
Compensation & Benefits
- $66.00-$70.00 per hour, negotiable based on experience
- Quarterly bonus opportunity, based on eligible pharmacy services billing and the terms outlined in the final employment offer / agreement
