LARWAY TRANSPORTATION IS CURRENTLY SEARCHING FOR A MULTI TALENTED TRUCK/BROKERAGE DISPATCHER TO JOIN OUR TEAM. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE;
- Direct activities related to dispatching, routing, and tracking transportation vehicles.
- Maximize profitability of each truckload.
- Deep knowledge of hours of service, DOT and Canadian Rules and Regulations
- Monitor driver performance/miles and reefer requirements
- Possess problem solving skills and be able to handle unforeseen situations in a fast-paced environment.
- Booking outbound and inbound loads as needed on a daily basis.
- Enhance customer service of drivers as front-line view of Company perception.
- Establishing and maintaining interpersonal relationships
- Perform all duties and responsibilities in a highly ethical manner and in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
- Work well under pressure and able to multi-task in a time-sensitive environment
Qualifications
- Thorough understanding of North American Transportation Industry
- Knowledge of Transplus Fleet Manager an asset
- ACE/ACI Customs/border crossing experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and plan work activities, using time efficiently.
- Able to thrive in a constantly changing, fast-paced environment and consistently meet tight timelines.
- Strong oral/written communication skills.
- Strong intellectual and mathematical ability
- Demonstrate self-motivation and initiative
- Strong Knowledge of North American geography
- Experience with industry software
- Strong Emotional Intelligence with ability to lead and motivate our driver work force
Minimum of 3 years equivalent experience in the transportation (trucking) industry. Good knowledge of technology in transportation environment. Strong computer skills utilizing transportation systems applications. Must have a valid driver’s license.
Pay: $48,000.00-$60,000.00 per hour
