Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Assistant or Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. This role involves supporting pharmacists in dispensing medications, providing patient care, and ensuring the smooth operation of pharmacy services. The ideal candidate will have experience in hospital or pharmacy settings, possess strong knowledge of medical terminology, and demonstrate excellent patient care skills. Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently
- Provide exceptional patient care by answering questions and offering medication guidance under supervision
- Maintain accurate medication records and ensure proper labeling and storage of pharmaceuticals
- Manage inventory, including restocking supplies and verifying stock levels
- Support medication administration processes as needed, following all safety protocols
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and pharmacy policies
- Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and processing prescriptions
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care activities
Requirements
- Prior experience in a hospital or pharmacy setting is preferred
- Pharmacy technician certification or registration is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and medication administration procedures
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Compassionate approach to patient care with good communication abilities
- Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team
- Basic computer skills for record keeping and data entry
- Must be able to pass background checks and meet all licensing requirements where applicable
Pay: $17.20-$28.31 per hour
