Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Flooring + Tile Sales Associate to join our team. This role involves engaging with clients to understand their renovation and construction needs, providing expert product recommendations, and delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail or inside sales, with experience in high-end sales, negotiation, and product demonstrations. The Sales Associate will play a key role in driving sales through effective merchandising, upselling, and account management while ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers in selecting flooring and tile products that meet their renovation or construction project requirements
- Help facilitate flooring + tile jobs.
- Conduct product demos and provide detailed information on features, benefits, and installation options
- Engage in outside and inside sales efforts to grow customer accounts and increase sales volume
- Utilize POS systems for accurate cashiering, cash handling, and transaction processing
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships through excellent communication skills and personalized service
- Upsell complementary products and services to maximize sales opportunities
- Manage merchandising displays to ensure attractive presentation of products
- Negotiate pricing, delivery timelines, and project details to ensure customer satisfaction
- Support marketing initiatives by promoting new products, special offers, or seasonal promotions
- Assist with account management tasks including follow-ups, order tracking, and after-sales support
Skills
- Proven experience in retail sales, inside sales, or high-end sales environments
- Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and cashiering procedures
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to upsell effectively
- Experience with renovation projects, construction processes, or related industries is preferred
- Ability to demonstrate products confidently through demos or presentations
- Strong organizational skills for managing multiple accounts and merchandising displays
- Customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to build lasting client relationships
- Basic math skills for calculating estimates, discounts, or measurements
- Knowledge of marketing strategies relevant to retail or high-end product promotion
