Gee Tee Holdings is looking for Class 1 Gravel Drivers for the upcoming season.
Location: 61035 Hwy 207, Sunnyside, MB (North just off of Dugald Road, Hwy 15)
Overview
Drivers will operate a tractor trailer unit to deliver aggregate (gravel, sand, rock) from our yard and/or gravel pits to customer sites. The trailer configuration used may be B-Train, Tri-Axle or Tandem and either a Side Dump, Belly Dump or End Dump.
Responsibilities Include
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck/tractor trailer unit you are operating.
- Identify equipment malfunctions and repair or elevate the issue(s) to your supervisor and/or the shop supervisor.
- Responsible for safe loading, shipment and unloading of materials.
- Ensure proper documentation is maintained.
- Properly fuel, use and return truck in an organized and neat manner after each shift.
- Ensure aggregate being delivered is loaded correctly in the trailer prior to leaving the yard or gravel pit.
- Safely deliver and unload aggregate at the customer’s site.
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 Driver’s License
- Strong English communication skills (spoken and written) are required to ensure clear communication, safety, and accurate documentation.
- Safe driving record supported by current Driver’s Abstract
- End Dump experience preferred, but we will train the right candidate
- Meet safety requirements and adhere to safety policies and traffic laws
- Ability to work extended hours including evenings and weekends
- Properly fuel, use and return truck in an organized and neat manner after each shift
- Capable of using technology on E-log (i.e. accessing company mobile app for truck schedules, timesheet entries, forms, safety program information, uploading paperwork, etc.)
