Overview
We are seeking a friendly, energetic, and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team. This role involves engaging with customers, providing product information, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong sales mindset, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs
- Conduct product demos and explain features to enhance customer understanding and interest
- Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products or services
- Operate POS systems for cashiering, including cash handling and processing transactions accurately
- Maintain organized merchandise displays and ensure products are well-stocked and attractive
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions, resolving concerns, and offering personalized recommendations
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple customers efficiently during busy periods
- Follow phone etiquette standards when communicating with customers over the phone or via online channels
- Assist with inventory management and merchandising tasks as needed
Qualifications
Applicant must be Canadian Citizen or Perminent resident. Hunting, fishing and other outdoor experience required.
- Previous retail sales experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for product demos and POS systems
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in merchandising and stock management
- Ability to work well under pressure in a dynamic environment while maintaining professionalism
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Good time management skills to balance multiple tasks efficiently
- Knowledge of retail sales techniques, including upselling and product presentation, is desirable
- Reliable with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
