Job Summary
We are seeking a team oriented, skilled and motivated Red Seal Truck and Trailer Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and industrial equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will keep our fleet running smoothly, minimizing downtime and maximizing efficiency. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, air brake systems, suspensions, hydraulics, and electrical components of trucks and trailers
- Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, shocks & struts replacement, etc.
- Utilize schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues accurately
- Operate heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other industrial equipment safely and efficiently during repair or assembly tasks
- Inspect vehicles thoroughly to identify potential issues with tractor-trailers, or other industrial equipment before they become major problems
- Maintain detailed service records of all repairs performed and parts used to ensure compliance with safety standards and warranty requirements
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a mechanic specializing in heavy-duty trucks, trailers, or industrial equipment.
- Strong knowledge of diagnostics, engine repair (including diesel engines), transmissions, air brake systems, hydraulics, suspension systems, and electrical troubleshooting
- Skilled in using schematics for complex wiring diagrams and mechanical layouts
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts safely and effectively
- Experience with fabrication techniques including welding and soldering; familiarity with power tools is essential
- Knowledge of industrial equipment maintenance is a plus
- Excellent mechanical knowledge combined with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely during repairs or maintenance tasks; physical stamina is required
- Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly with team members.

Pay: $38.00-$42.00 per hour
Expected hours: 50 – 60 per week
